Vinoble is proud to list Old Pulteney Hong Kong. In 1826 James Henderson established the Old Pulteney Distillery in Wick, a fishing village in the far northeast of Scotland. The town used to be a Royal Burgh in the 16th century and lies next to the Wick River. The Pulteney distillery is fairly exceptional in the sense that it is situated within a town. As far as we know, only Oban, Bowmore and Springbank share this trait. Pultneytown was constructed by Thomas Telford as a fishing village; roads were named after Thomas' buddies. In 1925 it was taken over by the Distillers Company Ltd. The Distillers Company decided to shut the distillery five years later. In 1995 Inver House Distillers acquired the distillery. They released a 12 year old official bottling in 1997, that was followed by older expressions several years after.
