Vinoble is proud to list Le Clos du Caillou Hong Kong. This iconic Rhone producer dates back to the first part of the 20th century in the Southern Rhone Valley. However, the modern era for Clos du Caillou started when the Pouzin family purchased the estate in 1956. The 9 hectare Chateauneuf du Pape vineyards of Clos du Caillou are sewn with both white and red grapes. Additionally they create Cotes du Rhone villages and a Cotes du Rhone Bouquet des Garrigues from parcels which are situated ever so slightly outside the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. Their terroir changes from sand to rocky and limestone soils. Some of their vines date to over one hundred years old, while the typical age of their vines is over 40 years. The fruit from those vines goes into the Clos du Caillou Reserve. Clos du Caillou possesses another 44 hectares of vines in the Cotes du Rhone appellation. Le Clos du Caillou recently freshened their brand. For the Clos du Caillou Reserve, the domaine modernised their label in 2010, and they followed up this in the 2011 vintage when they altered the layout of the label for their La Clos du Caillou Les Quartz and made it consistent with the new style.
