Maison Tricon is a family-owned estate established by two brothers, Jean-Pierre and Claude Tricon, who planted their first vines on the property in 1972. Their prime vineyards are located on high ground outside the village of Chablis with over 43 hectares of land. The land was formed several million years ago, giving the Chablis wines their accentuated mineral properties from the famous Kimmeridgian clay soils. Since 1998, the estate has been run by Jean-Pierre’s son, Olivier Tricon. Olivier studied winemaking in Burgundy and gained experience working at wineries in various regions. He also ran his own wine merchant business before returning to take over the family estate. Passionate about his land and his wine, Olivier is proud to carry on the high quality standards handed down from his family. His wife Valérie, herself a third generation winemaker, works with him. Popular with wine-lovers at home and overseas, Olivier’s wines are well-recognized and highly praised around the world, winning numerous Gold Medals in France and Japan, among other countries.
