Vinoble is proud to be the importer of Seifried Estate wines Hong Kong. The estate is located in the tiny, but spectacular grape growing region of Nelson – home to just 3% of New Zealand’s total wine production. It was 1973 when Austrian immigrant Hermann Seifried, and his New Zealand wife Agnes grafted and planted their first vines in the country’s Sunshine Capital. Located on the Northern shores of the South Island, it is surrounded by mountain ranges to the East, West and South. 2016 marks 40 years since the young couple, with dreams of making their own wine, were realised, with their first grape harvest, and wine made in 1976. A lot has changed since those early days, but the passion for crafting pure varietal wines expressive of the soils in which they are grown, continues. This passion for wine has now passed to the next generation with all three Seifried ‘children’ now involved in the family business. Today Seifried harvest from 250 hectares of Sustainably Accredited, Estate grown vineyards across the Nelson region, and with their wines now distributed in 23 countries around the world, Seifried is a company devoted to sustainable winegrowing, and producing the very best Nelson has to offer.
